Week 28 - Under Where (220711)

from Song A Week, Volume 7 by James Tristan Redding

/

lyrics

I heard a joke on NPR
Must a been a week ago
I can't recall the way it starts
But the end that much I know

It started with a simple phrase
When Person A says, "under there"
And Person B not one bit phased
Takes the bait saying, "under where?"

And then we laugh until we cry
And finally we're young again
That's all it takes to press rewind
On the clock my friend

Now every day I tell a joke
To someone in my life
It's not world peace but even so
Seems to make me feel alright
I feel alright
