JTR + Susan Harman - The Lottery (220227)

about

Co-written with Susan Harman.

lyrics

Every kid wants to win the lottery
And I was no exception
Bought a scratch off every week
To add to my collection

Made a list of what I’d do
If I picked the perfect digits
Never dreamed I’d see the day
Arrive when I actually win it

All the jokes are funny and all the books are good
All the children play nice in every neighborhood
Every day is better than the last and everything is easy
Since the day I won the lottery

I’m not going to tell anybody
I don’t want to jinx it
I'm not gonna' shout it out
I won't even think it

But I'm about to win it all
It'll be terrific
And today's the day I'm sure of it
Here's my winning ticket
