I loved that Bright Eyes song about George Bush
But it's easy to criticize sittin' on my tush
When the shit hits the fan and shove comes to push
If I ain't fixin' it myself maybe I better shush

Bill Floweree has a great song about voting
Somehow both funny and politically potent
And magically it matches any historical moment
That gets harder and harder to do, don't it?

I've written a song about one President
Unsurprisingly it's no longer relevant
Not to mention is was never eloquent
Maybe sometimes we just write for the hell of it
